In 2022, after almost eight years as Executive and Artistic Director of ArtSpring, Cicela returned to life as a musician, exploring collaborations with musicians, composers, and other artists.
Making music as a way to tell stories is a passion that she continues to pursue. Cicela currently studies voice with Benjamin Butterfield, piano with Alex Chen, jazz piano with Grace McNab, and jazz guitar with Chris Fraser. Cicela holds a Bachelor of Music from McGill University.
Cicela lives in the wonderful community of Salt Spring Island on the West Coast of Canada where she is the pianist for the Makana Children’s and Youth Choirs.
